This ring starts with a solid 925 sterling silver base, then takes an 18k gold PVD finish on top. Sterling costs more than the plated steel most everyday stackers are built on - that is what you are paying for here. The PVD finish carries our lifetime color warranty, so showers, sweat, and ocean swims will not fade it.
